EMCSD Celebrates New Retirees and Years of Service Honorees

As part of their End-of-the-Year festivities, the El Monte City School District held a drive-up celebration for their new retirees. The latest crop to cap their dry-erase markers were greeted with cheers and gifts as they said farewell to their colleagues. The District also honored service pin honorees as part of the celebration. The El Monte City School District has a wonderfully diverse school community and we believe everyone deserves a space where they feel seen and appreciated. By celebrating and recognizing diversity, which includes the LGBTQ+ community, we can continue working towards achieving educational, social, and emotional equity for all.

BBQ-themed Pantry Boxes this Week!

Stop by any of our meal distributions this week and get our latest pantry box filled with some of your BBQ favorites! With burgers, hot dogs, and fries, this week's box is the perfect way to kickoff summer! Remember, 1 box per child ages 18 & under. Available while supplies last. May is Asian Pacific Heritage Month and there are some amazing virtual events for you and your family to enjoy! Enjoy the musical elements of China, learn about Asian and Pacific Islander impact on our National Park Service, and explore the Minecraft version of San Francisco's Chinatown! EMCSD Update: Mask Guidance

On Thursday, May 13, the CDC issued new guidance regarding mask wearing for vaccinated people, stating fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask. El Monte City School District must still follow state and county mask guidelines, which still require mask wearing at EMCSD campuses. Click headline for full update from the District.

Need Help Paying for Internet?

The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, and so much more. Enrollment is NOW OPEN, click headline to view more info.

LACDPH Vaccine Town Hall for Parents

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health hosted a Town Hall for Parents to discuss the FDA's approval of the Pfizer vaccine for 12-15 year olds. The town hall was held on Tuesday, May May 18 at 6:00pm. Please click headline for details on how to watch the Town Hall.
