Policy Committee
Policy Committee
If you want to get involved in making decisions for your Head Start program, then we want you on the Policy Committee! Parents of students currently enrolled in the Head Start program and community members are encouraged to join the Policy Committee to make a positive impact for your children and your community.
Policy Council
For parents and families who want to be involved in making decisions for the entire LACOE Head Start program, the Policy Council is for you. Policy Council members are elected every year from each program’s Policy Committee, and work with the County Board of Education and community members who are selected by the LACOE Head Start director to serve on the Council.
The Policy Council consists of three committees that focus on specific areas of concern as they relate to our programs. These committees are:
- Executive Committee
- Planning and Development Committee
- Education and Transition Committee
Each committee is dedicated to making our programs the very best they can be for our children and families.
