Learn to Make Your Own Dumplings!

The Jeff Seymour Family Center held a dumpling making class this week in celebration of Lunar New Year. The class was hosted by Rio Vista 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Wei-Dumitrescu. You can find the ingredients needed and follow her recipe by clicking the headline!

Enrollment Kick-Off

El Monte City School District Child Development Programs is now taking applications for the 2021-2022 program year. If you have a child between the ages of 9 month to 5 years old or are expecting a child, please call at (626) 452-9164 Ext 3150. Space is still available for the current 2020-2021 program year. Please see our Eligibility and Enrollment Tab for required documents. We look forward to serving your family. Our 2021-2022 Enrollment Kick-off will begin February 16, 2021.

District Closed Monday, February 8th and February 15th.

In observance of Lincoln's Birthday and President's Day, the District will be closed on Monday, 2/8 and Monday, 2/15. This means our meal distribution will also be closed on those Mondays. Superintendent Garcia provides an update to the status of the District's Distance Learning plan. As of right now, EMCSD will remain in Distance Learning as it reconvenes it's Reopening Taskforce to discuss possible reopening scenarios and timelines. More COVID-19 Testing Dates Added for Week of 1/25

LA County and OptumServe have added three more testing dates to the Jeff Seymour Family Center: January 25th, 26th, and 28th. Testing is available by APPOINTMENT ONLY! Please click the headline for more details, including scheduling options. Remember, appointment times become available two days before testing date.

Six EMCSD Schools Recognized as 2019-2020 Honor Roll Schools

The El Monte City School District had six of its schools officially named to the Educational Results Partnership 2019-2020 Honor Roll. The Honor Roll recognizes public elementary, middle and high schools that demonstrate high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps.
